Last year I couldn’t be at the festival. So I had a good reason to go this year!
Below are the pictures.Overview of the show. This year there where, as always, a lot of interesting cranes and vehicles.
The FTF Club was also there. Here a FTF 6x4 ballasted tractor of Van der Meijden.
Another FTF, this time a 4x2 with a nice paint.
MAN 37.463 of Herpertz wich is equiped with a Effer 720 crane.
Another truck with a heavy Effer crane, this time a Scania 124G-420 8x2 of De Vries.
Saan was there with 2 trucks. This is a DAF 95XF-480 in 6x4 layout.
Next is Jan van Schie. There we find this Ginaf X5250 TS. This 10x4 truck is allowed to run at a total weight of 50 ton. The first 3 and the last axle are steerable.
At the backside they mounted a Palfinger PK 21000 crane so that the truck can unload itself.
This Scania P144G-530 of
Jan van Schie is, just like
Brouwers 5-axled tractor, a completely custom build truck.
The big difference between Brouwers truck is de position of the 5th axle. It is placed behind the tandem. This decreases the turning radius of the tractor.
While the tandem is located further to the front, the fifth wheel also has to be mounted at a position pretty far to the front. Therefore they also needed a longer gooseneck. Here we can see how long the gooseneck really is. It is obviuos that this tractor will only be used with this lowloader because the fifth wheel isn’t slideable.
A other large modification is the mounting of a P cab. A small cab with a large V8 engine demands some serious changes of the engine-tunnel in the cab. The roof has been flattened to create space for the boom of one of Van Schie’s own Junttan pile-drivers.
Behind the cab we find a storage box and a protective strut.
The lowloader is Nooteboom built unit and it has 6 pendular Axles. While the allowed load of one axle-line can be 16 Tonnes, only 3 axle lines are needed.
Next up is the MAN-stand. Beside the stand there was this ballasted prime mover of E. Lafeber from Gouda. It was coupled to a Nooteboom 10 axled drawbar trailer. Here we can clearly see why so many dutch heavy transport vehicles are equiped with low or flattened rooftops.
At MAN there was this 8x4 with a Effer 1150. Pay attention to the low-profile tyres that help keep the chassis height low.
Beside MAN’s new
41.660 they are also offering a lighter unit. This MAN 41.530 in 8x4 layout is available with and without a torque converter. This demo doesn’t have a torque converter. It can also be equiped with the 480 hp engine.
Behind the cab we don’t find a large tower but a small rack with the 970 liter dieseltank. The raised exhaust on this unit also isn’t that spectacular as the 660’er.
Depending on the configuration this truck has an allowed gross weight of 90 until 160 Tonnes.
Scania T143H-450 of Pillen from Winterswijk.
Scania T144G-530, also belonging to Pillen.
Mercedes Titan 4153 of Schot transport. It serves as a ballasttruck for their LTM1300.
