十月底Nvidia刚发表新款产品-G92核心的8800GT
使用65nm新制程,配上更多的管线,补强8800系列的效能与温度问题
ATI在不到一个月时间内,马上跟进,推出新款的两样显示卡产品
制程为55nm,Radeon HD3870/HD 3850,绘图晶片代号RV670
此举算是相当少见,近一两年来,ATI推出产品的速度都较对手Nvidia慢上数个月之久
原本也以为会延用2900的型号命名,没想到直接跳到下一个世代做为型号
此次入手的是较高阶的版本-ATI Radeon HD 3870
假想敌应该是刚上市的8800GT,但价位比8800GT低一点

开启4XAA的效能,比较起来有比之前ATI系列产品较好
不过与8800GT开启后的效能比起来,还是略输一点

HD 3870使用GDDR4确实让DRAM时脉拉高不少,甚至也可以拉到DDR4 2600以上的水准,不过有些3D测试会破图
另外核心方面的超频范围,也比自家先前VGA产品高上不少,算是一个好现象

不过实际表现上,ATI/Nvidia新款产品在散热方面表现不是很优秀

在游戏方面表现,比之8800GT互有高下
近期重量级游戏Crysis的表现,特效开到最高,也有30页以上的水准
ATI Radeon HD 3870
优点
1.ATI HD3870上市速度赶上对手产品,多推出一款较低阶的HD3850
2.55nm制程.GDDR4 512M.精致的铜制散热器
3.超频范围较高,与自家产品比有进步
4.支援DX10.1,3D方面与假想敌8800GT相比,效能各有高下
缺点
1.3D运作时,GPU温度过高
2.驱动程式的稳定度还需要再加强,另外双萤幕相容性依然不佳
3.AntiaAliasing虽然加强了,但是还有进步的空间
除了有HD3870与HD3850外,这两天又看到ATI要推出3600系列的消息
长期以来效能落后与推出产品经常晚上3~6个月,这波的ATI产品线表现不错
关于Nvidia方面目前只有推出8800GT与更高价位的8800GTS作为新制程的产品
也许不久的2008年中推出下一代9X00系列产品,这点是ATI需要加紧脚步的地方
还是希望这两厂能互相竞争,不管在推出新产品速度与产品价位上,消费者才有更有利的选择:)
