關於 Fedora core 6 是否支援 NTFS?

之前為了要設定 FC4 掛載 NTFS 弄道發飆就把 Linux 砍了！不過近月有出 FC6 想請問，可不可以直接掛載 NTFS?

再Fedora Core 4 掛載 NTFS 通常都要重新編譯程式,很麻煩,而且不一定會編譯成功,
(Fedora Core 6我要確認一下)

乾脆建議你用VMware Server 直接再 Windows在安裝一套 Linux,
再讓Windows與Linux來走SMB(Windows)/Samba(Linux)/FTP的相關服務,
來互相存取資料與服務比較安全,很方便

VMware Server (Server是Free的版本,而WorkStation是要付費的,所以你可以使用 Server版本 )....

要不然你可以嘗試用ubuntu
不用重新編譯核心，原先就預定可以讀取（only) NTFS可以讀寫FAT32

google "Fedora ntfs" 應該可以找到已編譯好的 ntfs module。

已經發瘋了.....弄到發瘋了！把FC6砍了！

補充一點，RedHat/Fedora 系列預設是沒有編入 ntfs module，
如果非一定要用 RedHat/Fedora，個人覺得 Mandriva 也不錯，
桌面字型是我用過將近 30 種 Linux 中最好的。

Please try to use ntfs-3g for reading and writing in ntfs drive. It is really fast and stable.

Install NTFS driver
With repositories like Fedora Extras it's now very easy to add NTFS support to Fedora:
# yum -y install ntfs-3g

Then you can simply mount NTFS file systems using the option -t ntfs-3g. You can find more detailed information about this driver at http://www.ntfs-3g.org/

How to install ntfs-3g for Fedora Core 6?
●Install the ntfs-3g package from Fedora Extras:

$ yum install ntfs-3g

●In the /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev.rules replace this line:

SUBSYSTEM=="block",         GROUP="disk", MODE="0640"

with the following line:

SUBSYSTEM=="block",         GROUP="disk", MODE="0660"

●Add the user to the disk and fuse group:

$ usermod -a -G disk,fuse username

●Change permissions of the directory where you want to mount the NTFS partition to 777:

$ chmod 777 /media/hda1

●Add this line to /etc/fstab:

/dev/hda1           /media/hda1         ntfs-3g dmask=022,fmask=133,noauto,locale=hu_HU.UTF-8,user 0 0

●If you want to allow other users to access the mounted NTFS partitions, not only the user who mounted it, run this command:

$ echo user_allow_other >> /etc/fuse.conf

●If you want to automatic mount your NTFS partition in GNOME, run this command:

$ rm -f /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/99-redhat-storage-policy-fixed-drives.fdi

Fedora core 6在使用者的口碑里好像是支持NTFS的。不過樓主最好還是自己去試一試
