"That's why we ask." 在机场柜台check-in时,总有些标准程序,比如说:「就你所知,(除你以外)有没有任何人放东西在你的行李中?」 于是我回问到:「如果有人趁我不注意放东西进去,我又怎么知道?」 服务人员自以为事的笑说:「这就是我问你的原因」。 译注:我英文中文都不好,译的不好请大家见谅。 这篇的重点在于without your knowledge.第一句是希望知道你的行李是不是自己打包的。回答Yes的话,如果有任何的问题,你就需负全责。问题是,你又不能回答No,不然你行李内的东西就会当街展示了。第二句是就原问句的逻辑问题而来,提出它有语病。 翻成中文就不大有意思了,有辨法还是看英文吧! x0
